Most people think for air conditioner maintenance you just need to clean the filters – this is incorrect. It is recommended that you get your air conditioner serviced professionally every 6 – 12 months depending on your usage (minimum once a year).

Think of your air conditioner just like your car, not regularly servicing your A/C affects the performance of the A/C and increases your power bill. To prevent this we recommend getting your air conditioner serviced to have your unit running cost efficiently and prevent unnecessary wear and tear/breakdowns.

Your 6 step servicing procedure includes:

  • Check & clean all covers & filters
  • Check drains don’t have any blockages & make sure clear outside
  • Check running pressures of system (gas charge)
  • Check Amp draw
  • Clean outdoor coil

We can service, fault find and repair any issues with all make and models of air conditioners.

Remembering what and when items are due for inspections (servicing) can be confusing and an unwanted hassle, though we can handle this all for you. From a courtesy phone, text, email or default booking whichever you prefer. It is all part of our 5 Star Promise for a reliable and quality service!

For homes & businesses that enter into a service contract for scheduled maintenance, we provide discounted rates. Contracts can be catered depending on your specific needs.

Smoke alarms save lives. Without them in your home, your risk of death from a house fire is up to 3 times higher. Nearly half of all house fire deaths occur when people are sleeping.

Fire and Emergency Services recommends all homes are fitted with photoelectric smoke alarms (not ionization types).

Photoelectric smoke alarms are more effective than ionization types because they 'see' the smoke by detecting visible particles of combustion. For this reason, they are good at detecting smoldering fires and dense smoke and are not as prone to false alarms (from cooking etc.).

There are 2 kinds of photoelectric smoke alarms:

tick-icon-black 240-volt smoke alarms (also called 'hard-wired smoke alarms'). These are connected to the house electrical system and have  a battery back-up power supply

tick-icon-black 9-volt smoke alarms (also called 'battery-operated smoke alarms') are stand-alone battery operated alarms.

Legislation has also been brought in that if you sell or rent your property that all homes must be fitted with photoelectric smoke detectors before sale or renting - so don't wait until then, make your home safe now!

Contact K&J Burns the electrical experts for a free quote to install a smoke alarm or convert to photoelectric today!
